A Leap of Faith

The Rock n’ Roll began as a quick decision and a leap of faith by Mary Kate Lambeth, husband Jed, and sons, Cole, Oliver and Ford in March of 2025.

Mary Kate grew up skating and visited the rink as a kid. She also had their older boys’ birthday parties there before the previous owners shut down the rink formerly known as Rockingham Skateland in 2020. The Hughs family, the previous owners ran the rink for 63 years.

After the Lambeth family purchased it, they made major renovations in an effort to make it their own. Mary Kate and her family know the rink and its legacy as legendary in the Richmond county area. The Lambeths wanted to provide recreational entertainment again in the small town for kids and families. It’s important to create excitement and unity over skating in the community.

They are looking forward to this journey in the skate world for many years to come.
